Browsers

This is a very broad category. There are many browsers to choose from. I've probably tried all of them over the years, but I keep coming back to Firefox. I like it because it's fast, secure, and most importantly to me, is very customizable through the vast array of add-ons available. Opera is also a good choice if you're looking for a browser that won't suck up a lot of memory. A new one to watch is Google Chrome. It is very fast, but not very customizable. Given a year or two, it may surpass Firefox as my browser of choice.

If you decide to go with Firefox, let me strongly suggest you download MozBackup. Itbacks up your Firefox ot Thunderbird settings, bookmarks, etc. If something goes wrong you can restore your precious settings in only a few seconds.

Alternatively, if you decide Google Chrome is more to your taste, there's also a backup program for that, too. It's called, rather surprisingly, Google Chrome Backup.
